  • SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • Must be currently enrolled in a UofT Undergraduate program to submit
  • We accept submissions from up to a year and a half preceding the deadline (i.e., for the spring 2010 edition, anything from fall 2008 to January 2010 will be accepted)
  • Essays submitted can come from all history courses (both HIS and crossover courses; a full list of crossover courses can be found here) or any essays with strong historical content
  • You can submit a maximum of two essays for consideration
  • We will not be accepting any document studies
  • We will consider independently-written work
  • We accept history papers and submissions from all three campuses (St. George, UTSC and UTM)
  • A full bibliography must be included with the essay
  • Please have your footnotes and bibliography in the Chicago Style
  • Please include the mark you received in your paper, the class your paper is from, the instructor who taught that class and the year you wrote the paper
  • Please include in your submission email your permanent contact information (email, phone number) so that the committee can contact you should your essay be chosen
  • Please note that papers chosen for publication will be edited for style and clarity

    Deadlines

    Submissions for the 2009/2010 edition of The Future of History are now open. The deadline for submitting papers is January 22nd, 2010
